We were informed today of a new federal law (within the last year) affecting those of us who transport game birds across state lines. If you are delivering game birds, and your truck and trailer weigh over 10,000 pounds, you are required to have a Department of Transportation identification number, a Commercial Drivers' License (CDL), a health certificate, log book and annual inspection of trucks and trailers. Also, you are also required to stop at weigh stations. Got questions? Our suggestion is to check with your state's Highway Patrol. |
